Last Days Of 2011

I spent Christmas holidays at Colmar Tropicale Bukit Tinggi a french themed resort (cant afford to go to France so a French village on a tropic mountain would do lol) . Originally we wanted to try the new hotel called The Chateau Spa & Organic Wellness Resort. A new organic themed hotel by Berjaya located in Bukit Tinggi, Pahang. Unfortunately due to late reservation The Chateau was fully booked, therefore we had no choice but to stay in a family suite in Colmar Tropicale. on 24th December we attended the Christmas Gala Dinner Night compulsory for all check-in guests of The Chateau.

Voila(pronounced as walahhh) lucky draw for 3 days 2 nights stay in Berjaya Tioman resortworth MYR1000 , quite disappointing because its only for standard chalet... I AM SO UNGRATEFUL (the last time we were in Tioman we stayed in a penthouse!)

At Ryo Zan Tei a Japanese restaurant at the peak of the hill, it was rathe tiring to climb the hill and it was cold too .Luckily I have my 100% silk made in France Hermes scarf worth MYR 1200 , finally a chance to put it to good use. Purposely tied it like a bandit just for the photo.

Anyway we spend only 3 days and 2 nights there and head to our next destination which is RITZ CARLTON RESIDENCE Kuala Lumpur! This time we only took 1 suite , which is a 3 room suite. Its quite worth to stay here during holidays because they have great promotion where it cost less than MYR 2,000 per night.

In Room breakfast , quite cool where you can choose a wide variety of breakfast by ticking in a paper and hang it outside of your room before 12am , you have to tick the time you want to have your breakfast sent.

We bumped into Jimmy Choo as soon as the lift opened in the lobby! He was a very humble and friendly person ,he greeted us! We were so shocked we forgot to ask for pictures! Anyway it was an honor to bumped into him :)! I hope one day I can own a pair of Jimmy Choo dress shoes. (went to their KLCC boutique before unfortunately they dont carry their men's collection here.)

We spend most of our time going around Starhill and Pavilion during our stay here. (Ritz Carlton is within walking distant for both)

Very late dinner at Korean restaurant Koryo-Won in Starhill , we were quite surprised that they are still open!

I did some shopping in Pavilion (although the Giorgio Armani shirt was bought in another day in Giorgio Armani KLCC retail at MY2290 before discount) Anyway there were so many nice stuffs from 2011 collections that I wish to buy but due to my budget constraint I only manage to purchase some very good bargain stuffs.

2 Hugo Boss socks for MYR 99 each , and a simple Hugo Boss polo-t (Made in China) for around MYR 300+ after some nice discounts.

I really love the orange planner it looks very classy which adds more elegance to the very elegant me, it is not a two thousand ringgit Hermes's planner though ,those are for high rollers. Anyway the planner really inspire me to improve my horrendous handwriting and get a decent pen.

MTM for Tom Cruise

Recently Tom Cruise appeared at the World Premier of : Impossible – Ghost Protocol in Dubai with a Made to Measure Giorgio Armani

Tom Cruise is an Armani man , he wore Giorgio Armani even to Oscars and his wedding with Katie Holmes. What I admire about Tom Cruise the most is he is about the same height as me, which gives hope to people with my height LOL.

Overall the movie was enjoyabale with nice alot of actions and nice cars (the movie itself pretty much like a BMW advertisment) , btw do check out this behind the scene video . The Dubai scene where Tom Cruise where were running outside of the tower were actually real without CGI or stuntmen , very impressive.

Anyway I wish that I can have a Giorgio Armani made to measure of my own in the future. (but I would probably get an Ermenegildo Zegna made to measure first since the service is available at Malaysia's Zegna , but not anytime soon since I have other priorities (cars and watch) maybe in 2 years.

I was so excited when i received the invitation as this is the biggest event i have been invited to, a launching of new boutique party. Of course without second thoughts i confirmed my attendance.

It was such a big honor for a serf such as myself to be together with socialites,tycoons and celebrities. These are some of the people that I could recognize Datin Nurjuma, Dato Nazir Razak, Tan Sri Syed Yusuff Tun Syed Nasser, YM Tunku Kecil Besar Tunku Mudzaffar.

I like how the guest dress , most of them have their own style and you bet! they are expensive.

Beautiful models with beautiful clothes from Giorgio Armani Fall/Winter 2011 collections posed and catwalk around the boutique during the event as the guests were served with some food and choice of drinks such as cosmo,champagne,wines, and mocktail.

Anyway all those money spent in Giorgio Armani is well justified because this experience is priceless.

for the first time Giorgio Armani has its own digital store where you can not only browse through Giorgio Armani collections but also you may purchase them online.

I actually just found out today after I was unable to access to Giorgio Armani website for months, finally the wait is over as they were actually renovating the website.

I really like the new website as it allows you to see their collection along with the items price , just like the old Emporio Armani website. As I was lurking around the website I saw some of my recent purchases are there, as well as new targets.

this one has the exact same design as mine , the one i posted in my previous post ,the picture quality is so bad i dont think anyone can make out how it actually look like LOL. anyway only the color is different and mine is short sleeves. (prolly because mine is summer ,while this is for winter collection) (Made in Italy)

they still have this belt that i purchased last season , didt provide this belt picture on my last post. so there you go as promised .. at least taking from the websites is clearer , the strap is calf skin with metallic buckle. (Made in Italy)

besides from the belt this is my recently acquired polo t from Emporio Armani .Quality isnt that great maybe because it is Made in Turkey , but i really like the design. Great addition to my polo t collection, however I still have many more polo t that i desire.

Just saw in the website, and I really like it and hopefully Giorgio Armani store would come up one polo t just like this but with short sleeves. (its hot here)

Polo Shirts

I actually have new love for Polo Shirts it all started when i saw some young golfers on the sports channel wearing Hugo Boss, eventhought I dont know how to play golf but in the future I do intend to play golf as I have much interest in this sport. Of course I got my priorities all wrong ( I always do ) because instead of being concern with proper attire to play golf i should first be concern on how to play golf and get myself a golf set of my own.

But what the heck i am too obsessed with the Hugo Boss Polo shirts so I started my quest to get that Hugo Boss polo shirts. I went to all 3 Hugo Boss boutiques in Malaysia Pavilion, Klcc, and The Gardens. To my disappointment I couldt find the correct size and the correct design. I want a tight fit with Hugo Boss logo like those golfers wear... anyway to make my experience worse the sales assistant are not very helpful either except the Garden's outlet. I can understand that they were many other customers as they were having sales but what I cant accept is that when the sales associates were available they still did not bother to attend me instead they choose to attend the caucasians that entered after me , leaving me wandering around Hugo Boss trying to find the size and design myself without anyone attending me, anyway of course after seeing that the sales associate has no interest to assist me , as they felt that I am not worth their time apparently i am such a waste of time to them I dont even deserve any greetings me when I entered the store, me being a very tolerance person of course I can understand that they were busy but but but! the Caucasians guys that entered later were greeted despite they were busy attending other customers! talk about double standard LOL. I mean I am not asking for special treatment like i am a high roller because i know i am not a high roller however i find it disrespectful that there are different standards in serving their customers.

Anyway I am still not done with my desire for more Polo Shirts , so I began to find from other brands ,being so high fashion I wouldt be wearing the typical average made in 3rd world countries Polo Shirts that the mass and fashion victims are wearing because even for my taste they are too douche and there is nothing fashionable about wearing the exact same shit as others its like wearing a uniform. I have to be different, yet elegant and luxurious its a way for me to express myself. But of course i am a cheapo and frugal person so discount is a must unless they are less than 1k than that would make no different.

End of Season

Spring Summer is ending.. which means many boutiques be having sales in order to make way for Fall Winter collections.

and the first to kick start the end of season sales is Melium group as their sales has started since 16th June . Melium group members are entitled to extra discount of 10% for the first 2 days. Though i only visited M Boutique for Men since i have restraint myself from entering other boutiques as I know i would be too tempted with their offers and most likely I would blow the money that i have been saving on unnecessary stuffs.

Anyway their Spring Summer collections discount varies from 20% to 50% depending on the brands. As for Comme Des Garcons Play, none of their stuffs has any discounts. I pretty much bought everything I wanted from them already so i am anxiously waiting for their Fall Winter collection now.

So here is what I got from their awesome sale a high quality D & G v-neck t-shirt with super cool tiger graphic , which made from Italy for only MYR330 from the original price MYR625, with 30% discount and extra 10% discount because i am Melium member plus with my extra MYR 30 Melium group voucher that i received from purchasing a CDG Play Collar T-shirt for MYR 695 without discount (Made in Japan) . This has to be the bargain of the year for me, i am so happy and excited.

Actually i prefered grey (like the one showed in New Man magazine Malaysia) or black unfortunately those colors are sold and only left with white. Its not that I dislike white color its just that I am a clumsy eater who eats like a barbarian..

Club 21 sales will begin later in 24th June in case you guys have anything to get from Club 21 boutiques better wait for their sales or you will end up in regret.

Fashion Show

Last wednesday I attended a closed door event from Melium Group that I was invited to. It was a mini fashion show that was held in Casbah , Mandarin Oriental. The fashion show showcased new collection from M Boutiques and Hit Gallery. Guests were given free flow of food, wines,champaigne and cocktails. I myself had 2 glasses of Cosmo.

This is the entrance where you sign the guest list (exclusive because its a closed door event), the bar is situated underground. I was impressed and shocked that most of the Melium Group employees recognized me and know my name! impressive since i just recently frequent their boutiques.

The girl on right is a model, they went around displaying their products, guests were also allowed to talk to the models as they walk around.

I might get this one the next time i go to M Boutique. Maybe next month because I just bought a Giorgio Armani t-shirt before I went there, it is by far the most expensive t-shirt i have bought , more pictures about it at the end of this post.

The picture of the crowd, spot me if you can. The guy with the vest carries a Giorgio Armani ,glad to see another young Giorgio Armani buyer. There was many socialites that I often sees in magazines.

The guy sitting with suit he has a very nice suit from YSL (Yves Saint Laurent) , he wore it with a YSL t-shirt. I sat beside him without saying any words because I was too shy to socialize!

and lastly the picture of me (I am wearing a t-shirt from GF Ferre) with Dato Farah Khan, Creative Director of FARAHKHAN & President of the Melium Group. She wore a very nice dress with feathers or fur i am so sure but it looked very good.

It was an enjoyable event, I was very happy to be invited to this event and hope that I can attend more events like this in the future.

Also prior to the event I had a haircut at Centro in KLCC. Quite disappointed because I wanted to try the MYR 120 normal hair cut for men by their creative director but I think that might require appointment? because only their lowest hairstylist was available for MYR 60. But it was a good haircut i receive many compliments later for my new hair lol. Also I manage to get myself a cool t-shirt from Giorgio Armani for just MYR 1200. This is the first time i paid full retail price for a Giorgio Armani stuffs , they are just way too expensive to pay full retail. This will also be my most expensive t-shirt i ever bought even more expensive than Gucci's collar t-shirt. (collar t-shirts are always significantly more expensive than t-shirts) .

I just cant help myself and have to buy it because it think it has a very cool design which look great for casual wear, but this will be the last time i buy any casual shirts for more than MYR 1k . As I mentioned in my previous entry I need to save money for something special, so Ill just stick with cheaper diffusion lines for my daily and casual wear.

Diffusion Line

Recently I have cut down my spending on fashion, as i am currently saving money for something special (still a long way to go sigh) .. but of course I cant totally put complete halt from shopping. I have to help contribute to the economy by spending! furthermore I surely need to refresh my wardrobe (cant be seen wearing the same clothes twice right?) . An obvious choice when I was looking for more affordable, casual and streetwear fashion stuffs I would go for Emporio Armani, the diffusion line of Giorgio Armani as getting casual wear from Gucci,Giorgio Armani and the likes are getting way too expensive for me. However I've been disappointed by Emporio Armani's collections not only in term of designs but also in price and quality. Their lower end commercial stuffs are uninteresting in designs, lacking in quality and also overpriced compared to other diffusion lines. Their ads campaign and higher end stuffs however do have better quality and are made in Italy. But that comes with a price, which would defeat my purpose going to Emporio Armani. Emporio Armani stuffs that are equivalent in price (as in shirt to shirt , jacket to jacket) with Gucci and Prada its a no brainer that I would choose Gucci and Prada over a diffusion line and being in Malaysia, Gucci and Prada are the mainstream designer labels.

What is Diffusion line? diffusion line is a cheaper line that aimed at younger audience with fashionable , funky and more street styled designs made by Fashion Houses.

Although all of these brands do not have their own stand alone boutiques in Malaysia (except Emporio Armani) , Melium Group that brings us Tod's,Ermenegildo Zegna,Hugo Boss,Aigner and many more has brought these brands under their variety boutique Hit Gallery and M Boutique (for men & women).

Hit Gallery is located in KLCC has been around for quite some time , carries not only diffusion line brands such as Just Cavalli,Galliano,GF Ferre and D&G ,a brand based from John Galliano which is the former creative director of DIOR that was recently sacked from DIOR and his own fashion label Galliano for his anti semitic comments in a cafe in Paris.

M Boutique is separated by 2 , M Boutique for Men and M boutique for Women. They have wider variety of brands from Boss Orange, Fred Perry, 5 Preview,CDG Play, Y-3 , C`N`C, and just like Hit Gallery they also carry D&G, Galliano and Just Cavalli.

And so as Emporio Armani kept disappoints me, I have tried to explore other diffusion lines and ever since I found out about M Boutique and Hit Gallery, I have never looked back(well at least not until Emporio Armani can give me better offers) . Apparently they are not only cheaper, but they also comes with superior quality. Their quality is comparable with other full line designer labels stuffs , the only thing they are lacking is the "made in Italy" label which is totally fine to me as these are just casual and streetwear stuffs for casual wear.

So here are the stuffs that i recently bought from Hit Gallery and M Boutique for Men. Also I am now a member of Melium Group , just Gold membership that entitles to 5% discounts . (for club 21 to become Premium Member you need to collect over 30 thousands points within 2 years no idea for this one). Discounts are not stackable with normal discounts. But for Melium Group you are eligible to be upgraded to Platinum Membership with the total spending of over RM5,000 in a single receipt on non discounted item.

lol not really a diffusion line but this is something I bought recently at the Gardens. My first purchase from Hugo Boss! Well I am not really a fan of German brand.. that could explain why this is my first and only purchase from them so far ,but in the future we will never know.

I really like Italian designer, especially Giorgio Armani. He is my favourite designer , and I am so excited that KLCC new extension will house new Giorgio Armani boutique and Armani Cafe. This will be the first Armani Cafe in South East Asia, the cafe will be the place to see and to be seen. Isnt it fun all the label whores,euro trash, posers and wannabes such as myself eating overpriced Italian food in Armani Cafe together! LOL of course that is not true but I am sure many will have that perception towards the patrons of this Cafe. But I dont care what others think as I am really looking forward to make this place as my new hot spot.

Anyway since this post is about Armani I might as well share some information regarding Armani's lines

I am sure many of you are confused with Armani and their many lines.

Armani Prive Armani's haute couture line , very high end and very expensive, limited to small clientele as it is made to wear by order (If i am not mistaken prices are no less than 5 digits in $usd)

Giorgio Armani (some calls them Armani Black Label) this is their high end ready to wear lines designed by Giorgio Armani. Designs are more matured , with subtle designs. Rarely has visible logos. (Their suits sells for around MYR 10,000)

Armani Collezioni Normally sells in high end department stores, but in Malaysia you can find some women AC stuffs in the Giorgio Armani boutique. The designs are less fashionable and the brand uses Zegna's cloths (May only be applies to Men's collection). It used to be a collaboration between Armani and Zegna ,with Armani owning 51% and Zegna 49%. But just last year Giorgio Armani had just bought Zegna's remaining 49% shares. Price wise quite similar to Emporio Armani's.

Emporio Armani This is Armani's more fashion forward line to cater for young adults who are into fashionable designs. This label features ready to wear which is still designed by Giorgio Armani. For their commercial products obvious logo are heavily used, but not for their ready to wear stuffs which are also significantly more expensive than their commercial products. Many of their lower end stuffs are produced in 3rd world countries, where as their higher end which are significantly more expensive are made in Italy. As for their ready to wear collections are all made in Italy. Emporio Armani normally uses popular celebrities such as Josh Harnett, Megan Fox, Christiano Ronaldo, Shu Qi and Takeshi Kaneshiro as their models for their ads campaign. (Suits cost from MYR 4000 to 6700 , price varies depending on the method of construction fused or canvassed)

Armani Jeans is a bridge-line collection of denim-related clothing and styling are very vintage. Mostly sold in departmental stores but in Asia they are sold in Emporio Armani boutiques.

Armani Exchange Considered as the entry level to the Armani world. More popular to younger crowd as they are more affordable. Fashionable and more street-chic styling. Designs are loud and tacky , but they do have nice designs but rather lacking in quality.

In Malaysia all Armanis are owned by Club 21. Club 21 also owns DKNY, Calvin Klein, Calvin Klein Jeans, Paul Smith, Mulberry, BCBG MAXAZRIA and some others.

Another one was which I missed because I had an accident prior to the event was held in Studio 18 or something .. this one was for Spring Summer 2010 collection , I was very disappointed that i could not make it because many local celebrities attended this event including Daniele Graham, Sazy Falak and many more.

But too bad I hope I can get more invites in the future , so of course I'll have to spend more to be worthy of an invite!

(hopefully they will have special sales, I really hope they would inform me since my usual sale associate who normally serve me and inform me of any offer is no longer working there..)

Have you ever notice that those military men always look so awesome? it is because they have damn fine looking uniforms. Those military uniform screams that I AM IN THE TOP OF THE FOOD CHAIN. Even the Nazis uniform make those krauts look so sharp and charismatic. So yea Hugo Boss are not only famous for their marketing and premium fused suits, but they are the company who made those awesome uniforms for the Nazis.

Anyway this year it seems like the military inspired looks is 'in' fashion and popular. Many fashion houses such as Gucci, Burberry Prorsum and many are rolling out military designs and fashion for their runway (i dont think it has anything to do with Sucker Punch)

There are alot of nice military design from Burberry Prorsum but unfortunately in Malaysia they dont feel like bringing in Burberry Prorsum.. so I have no choice but to choose from limited Gucci military designs that they bring over to their boutique in Pavilion.

A slightly different version of the Military shirt , in long sleeve and the Gucci signature web is on collar instead of the sleeves , cost MYR 1820 and it was slim fit but i choose the short sleeve instead because it is skinny fit ,also priced cheaper at MYR 1620 and most importantly it has shining material. Besides that I purchased 2 more items, a green chinos from Y-3 and a Prada khakis pants to complete the military look , as much as i like the fit but the country produced the pants are a let down , Prada one is made in Ukraine while the Y-3 one is made in China.

and to conclude this purchases i have stripped off Khakis Pants and the Military Selvage Shirt from my wish list!

my long search for slim fit khakis pants finally ... i ve been searching for this in almost every boutiques in Pavilion but none of them has my size and the fit i wanted .. I guess they only cater sizes for giants and fatass foreigners.

Sorry that these are few pictures that I manage to snap photo, since i do fine dining way too often that I forget to take pictures, not that they are important but I am aware that readers will enjoy more if they can look at the photos of the place.

And from these photos I will try to recall as much memory as possible on my culinary experience from ambience to the taste of the food. There are places that i frequent and there also places that I just recently discovered and will visit them more in the future.

Recently when I was shopping around Pavilion i found a new nice steakhouse , its called Angus House. The franchise came from Japan if I am not mistaken , their steaks are quite pricey .. starts from MYR90 , but their pastas are not that expensive .. just around MYR30 i think

what more interesting about this steakhouse they have all kind of beefs that cost around MYR200,MYR300 and more

I ordered a full course meal wagyu steak that cost around MYR200+ , quite worth it considering that my wagyu comes with a soup, 2 appetizers a fish and salad , and of course a tiramisu for desserts

Voila , the best Wagyu steak i've ever tasted , the next time I come i will definitely order a bigger portion

The tiramisu .. anyway i am really looking forward to dine in this restaurant again.. the place also offers alot of privacy since they arent many people there..

This is where I had dinner later, in Alexis ,Gardens. The food are not bad but lack of choices ..there was a lot of people here , most of them seems like just came back from work judging from the way they dress.. I guess if you can eat here after work (I assumed that they are white collar salaryman) that proves that our economy is good and the people are well to do.

Good thing about Alexis they have Pavlova cake , which is currently my favourite cake.. Serai in Empire Shopping Gallery is the only other place that i know that have this..

*updated I just had Red Cod Miso at Alexis and it is very nice! the best Cod Fish i ve ever tasted

The next day as I was heading back to Kuantan I dropped by at Victoria Station , Jalan Ampang (on the way to KL exit towards Kuantan) for my lunch.

their sizzling steak is my most favourite ... reasonably priced and taste nice.. interesting ambience too , they tried to make the place feel and look like a train station , you can even dine in mock trains.

By the way what makes me love Victoria Station so much is this.. their western crabmeat sharkfin soup my most favourite sharkfin soup but i hope they dont use real sharks....

Interesting stairs in the new Zenith hotel in Kuantan. They invited us to check out their rooms a week earlier and was given complimentary dinner at their cafe (I wasnt in Kuantan so only my sister and my mother went) Anyway as soon as I came back to Kuantan i went to try out for myself.. the supervisor or something advised us to take their buffet which cost around MYR70 per head not including service taxes and other charges .. imo its quite pricey for Kuantan rate since this is just a small town.. but I guess the wide variety of food offered will justify the price , since they have from Malay food to Japanese food like shashimi, sushis etc.

The ambience of the hotel's cafe is fantastic .. imo the nicest among Kuantan hotels that i ve been to.. next time I ll visit there again to try their ala carte.

oh yea just to share some places that I love to dine in Kuantan :

Shahzan Inn - the best spaghetti bolognaise (beef/chicken) anywhere in the Malaysia (well i guess taste could be subjective)

Crocodile Rock - love to chill here , the place is cosy , the price are reasonable , but the place is always full even in weekday (sign of good economy) my favorite food here is their nachos and potato dauphinoise

East Grill - the only place i would have my steak welldone is here , I love their tenderloin welldone , aside for that i love their teriyaki salmon and mushroom soup

yup my favourite Teriyaki Salmon

Le Parisian - The only french restaurant here , nice french food but sadly the ambience is too simple

Italian Bistro (Hyatt) - many choices of wine and your only place for authentic Italian food

Sherwood - they have many weird Switzerland steaks that I cant even pronounce and many choice of sauces for their steak , this place is the choice for local expats

I really love their Shashimi..

their mushroom soup is so so only east grill's is alot better

Grilled Steak Fillet Cheese Fondue , if i am not mistaken it is somekind of Switzerland food but it was very nice

its actually something practical that helps you to obey the traffic law aswell ... its a bluetooth headset from Sony Ericsson

it costed me MYR233 and now i look alot cooler with it haha . There were many choices in Sony Ericsson for bluetooth headset and I choose this one because its one of the latest one (not even the most expensive one.. there are other headsets that retails from MYR300 to MYR500) they come in different shapes,style and functions. I choose this one because the price is good and its the most fashionable of all hehe

A man is not only defined from their clothing but also how they smell.Well on my latest purchase its not a new accessory nor clothings but a new perfume with some other goodies. Actually I already have this perfume Giorgio Armani Attitude , but when I was walking around Mahkota Parade Parkson I saw this nice set , that includes Giorgio Armani Attitude all over body shampoo and Armani code deodorant. All for just MYR3xx so without much hesitation I bought them because the last time I bought they only give a small amount of the body shampoo and shaving cream

They come in nice box too, so easier to bring them around

Anyway was in Mandarin Oriental hotel beside KLCC recently. It was my favorite hotel in the past , so would love to share some nice view of KLCC from the hotel room.

Ordered a medium cooked tenderloin from the room service.. costed almost MYR100 and was very disappointing.

unfortunately this end of the year sale has been bad for me !! all the stuffs i waited for discount have been sold on first few days of sale ... (Yes the z zegna suit and that gucci pimpin jacket)

anyway on the night of new year eve I manage to get a cool Just Cavalli sweater from Hit Gallery , KLCC.

it is made in italy , priced at MYR21xx . But the best thing is.. it comes in very cool design that no people willing to buy it and it was marked down at 60% discount! so i got it for just MYR840

anyway sorry I dont have better picture to show it yet ... so this will have to do for now

I went to Hermes to check out their shoe, the price mark up here is abit ridiculous since in the website they only cost like MYR2300 (after conversion) but at here they cost around MYR3500-4000) , and more disappointment is that John Lobb no longer make shoes for Hermes (Hermes owns JLP) and their shoes are all made in italy now. Anyway I might put the purchase on Hermes shoe on hold for awhile , its ok since I still have other stuffs to purchase on the list. Also the shoes that they have in KLCC boutique and Pavilion are different , KLCC boutique shoes i think are mostly older seasons shoes because the one in Pavilion are the same as in the website.

Also there are many nice new stuffs from Gucci this season unfortunately I am saving my money for the thing i listed above! so most likely i wont be able to get them... (i have to be strong and keep to my priority first lol)

Yup the time that many shopaholics have been waiting for is here ! its almost December and that means end of the year sales is very near. Some boutiques have already started their sales , and I heard there is great discount in Starhill Gallery boutiques started from 12th November.

Of course it is a no brainer for anyone not to purchase anything yet until end of the year sales kicks in , so few days ago I've already scouted for the stuffs that i should purchase.. and on top of the list is this Gucci camel velvet jacket . They only 1 have size which is XS , which is fortunately my size. The price is at MYR6780 , it cost alot thats why i am taking high risk waiting to purchase it when its on discount... (since it is one and only piece they have here)

tried it and it perfectly fits me , but that is not the main reason why it is a must have for me..

YES . this is a biggest reason that i am getting it! P. Diddy wore it when he was on David Letterman show. Definitely a chance i should not miss to be able to wear the same cloth as P. Diddy! i really hope it doesnt sell until sales.

and another one in my priority list is a Zegna suit. Not the main line Ermenegildo Zegna , but the more fashion forward and slim cutting Z Zegna line. (much like Emporio Armani to Giorgio Armani). The fitting of the suit was fantastic which is right on my size 44. The cutting is amazingly slick and fit which feels youthful. Too bad I dont have much use for suits , At the moment i have 2 suits and it is very rare for me to have opportunity to wear them... and the sales associate that served really gave me great impression , as he know what he was talking about , and he can actually tell my size without me telling. His selection of suit for me to try on was fantastic just spot on what i was looking for.

Anyway when i was testing the suit it remind me of the scene in The Family Man acted by Nicholas Cage .. when he was trying on the Zegna suit before christmas but his wife didt let him and bought him an imitation Zegna as christmas present instead ... (Hey Christmas is near too now! just look at Pavilion decoration you can feel very christmas like lol)

Some interesting note about Zegna , this year they had just celebrated their 100th year anniversary.. and I read recently in a local magazine that every men should have at least 1 Zegna suit in their wardrobe. So this Z Zegna retails at 4400 will definitely be part of my wardrobe soon.

Well alot people questioned my purchases as why go for a designer brand watch? why not go for a watch from proper watch makers. Well to answer that question , i am a label whore .. but thing is luxury watches are too expensive and out of my budget , as for other watches brand under 4,000 they are just not that well known to most people . Only those who are into the brand or into watches would know about them. As for Gucci everyone knows them .. some asked why not go for entry level Tag which cost around 4k , well the entry level tag are rather "sporty" and i am not an outdoor person so it would be ridiculous for me to purchase such watches..as for the more elegant Tags. they are well way over my budget at over 10k+ like Carerra etc.

I am in KL again :D and this week i am staying at Ritz Carlton Residence Suite, Bukit Bintang for the whole week. It is very ideal place to stay for like me as I enjoy living in heart of Kuala Lumpur golden triangle. Ritz Carlton located just within walking distance to Pavilion ,Starhill Gallery , Lot 10 and the new shopping complex Farenhait. Besides wealthy tourists and expats , I also bumped into Jimmy Choo and Dato Sheikh Muszaphar in the lift. Well if even Jimmy Choo stays here this place must be very fashionable indeed.

Apart from nice location the hotel manager is also a very nice person , we enjoy hospitality given by Mr Joshua ,he also invited us to the hotel lounge and offer us to grab light bites while we wait for the hotel valet to take our car from the underground parking.

Now for our room , we stayed in a humble suite with 1 master bedroom, 1 bedroom , 1 office , a kitchen with storeroom and 4 toilets (guest toilet at the entrance,kitchen's toilet,bedroom's toilet connected to the office room and lastly the master bedroom's toilet) this room is quite modest compared to the higher room which comes with butler ... anyway few days later when my sisters came we took another suite on the same floor (there is only 2 suites on our floor) so pretty much we have the whole floors for ourselves lol , the second suite has an extra room compared to the one i stayed.

So as I was told that a pocket square can enhance the elegance of suit , so I went to grab a Hermes pocket four at Pavilion. It was a red pocket four made of 100% silk , it has cats and mice as the decoration which is very cute thats why i choose it lol, but u wont be able to see it unless you come up close. So its kinda like a secret pleasure. Luckily the price wasnt far from my estimation which is at MYR 530

I was quite shock to see how such small details can change the overall look of the suit! And I am really happy with this purchase with no regret at all

I dont really like to stay at tall places , but i had no choice since Club rooms are only 27 onwards (Club rooms guests are granted access to Club Lounge on 30th floor(highest floor) where u can hang out or have breakfast instead of the normal hotel coffee lounge at the lobby) Although the normal breakfast has more choices of food but you cant really enjoy your breakfast when its crowded with people

at the club breakfast although they serve less choice of food but you get to have nice scenic view of Kuala Lumpur during your breakfast and opposite of our table are the hotel's Managing Director's family , so it was a great experience to have a more peaceful hotel breakfast buffet experience. I was told by one of the waiter there that the Club Lounge are only crowded when there are UMNO people are around.

Emporio Armani was having a special 15% discount for 3 days for their new A/W 2010 collection so I went to grab some stuffs 1 day earlier.

Always wanted a blue jeans luckily found a nice Armani Jeans(AJ) jeans at a bargain price too MYR800 before the discount , luckily I didt get the Gucci one which is sold at MYR 2400 \ or the Prada one that close to MYR 2000 since i am quite content with this one. (hey got what i wanted for, at fraction of the original price i thought i would have to spend)

Another small detail accessories to compliment my look, Emporio Armani silver cuffling , there was another one with the design that i like which is also cheaper but unfortunately it was made of stainless steel. So i choose this silver one instead at MYR799

Finally found a v-neck tShirt that i've always wanted to wear with my jacket casually (seen alot Korean actors wearing sport coats with v-neck tshirts , there was another one priced at MYR 1599 but Made in Italy , this one is made in Turkey at 1000 Ringgit cheaper lol so it takes no brainer to choose this one! it has the Emporio Armani logo at the back but wont be seeing it when I wear it with my jacket.

Just to share on how I try to match my Gucci Pants that my brother in law made fun of , he said it looked like chef's pants! and no kidding i bump into a chef in an elevator before having the same pattern of the pants as this Gucci Pants but thank god I wasnt wearing that pants that time lol.

Well here is the story behind how I bought it. I was around KL when my parents came to KL to attend Datuk K's daughter wedding (not Siti's Datuk K a different one! but from Pahang also)

most of VIPs from Pahang including KDYMM Sultan Ahmah Shah and Dato Seri Adnan Yaakob (Chief Minister) attended the wedding and at that time I had no suitable pants to match therefore I went to look around in Pavilion since its nearby the hotel which is the venue of the wedding, in my quest looking for a decent pants and this pants on display in the mirrored table caught my eye.

Immediately after trying it i fall in love with it as it has very good fit on me (except the lenght of course i am short hehe only 173CM) , so i got it altered before the wedding. But its abit pricey at MYR 2300 and there was no discount.

Hari Raya celebration with TYT Melaka

This year Raya has been exciting compared to last year which was horrible... I had a very bad diarrhea on the second day of Raya that lasted for more than a week, so I was forced to stay at home taking medicine. It was bad as the diarrhea came with fever and dehydration.

Anyway this year TYT Melaka and his wife organized a closed Hari Raya celebration for close friends and relatives only , it was attended by many people including former Chief Judge,politicians,celebrities such as Siti Nurhaliza (Malaysia no.1 female singer) and his husband Datuk K, there was also movie producers, businessmen, loggers , diplomats , high rank polices and dont forget bodyguards , so it was kinda intimidating for a normal person like me to be here.

I was kinda disappointed that we arrived too late and could't get the chance to meet Siti Nurhaliza :(

but none the less i had alot of fun and the buffet was great catered from Mahkota Hotel Melaka i guess since the tissues have their hotel name.

Toh Puan Zurina and TYT Tun Datuk Seri Utama Mohd Khalil Yaakub (consider as the King in Melaka state above Chief Minister Dato Seri Ali Rustam) they are very humble people..

A 2 doors Bentley with digit 1 , there was another single digit 4 doors Bentley and a whole lot of Benz including mine, mostly S class with drivers lol. Too bad we reach too late to see what car Datuk K and Siti came with .. heard they got alot of nice cars such as SL63 AMG,430 Scuderia, GTR and many more.

My shoes dilemma

Its great to have many shoes in your collection , as you will be able to have different shoes to match different occasions and clothes. Not only that, the more shoes you have the more you can rotate and this will help make your shoes last longer. But the only problem with my shoes are transporting them , as i travel very often therefore its damn annoying to bring them around which is why i think need a big Louis Vuitton suit case just to carry my shoes around when i travel, but not now or anytime soon as I am kinda broke after buying the Giorgio Armani suit , so I'll have to wait as I kinda have other smaller targets to obtain first. Such as .. more shoes lol ok i saw my sister's shoe rack and i thought it was pretty cool if i have one for myself where i can fill all my designer shoes , so i plan to expand my shoe collections which isnt that big right now.

So anyway i ve been reading the net and saw a few pictures of Shia Labouef for his upcoming movie Wallstreet 2 : Money Never Sleep after seeing him wearing the Gucci Horsebit Moccasins and me being a person who likes to take movies and celebrities as reference, it has influenced me to start my shoes collection expansion with this shoe. I hope I can manage to save up enough money to get it when the movie comes out so it will add extra coolness when i catch the movie in the cinema.. although there are alot of negative criticism about the wardrobe of this movie from SF forum, but it wont be stopping me from taking fashion reference from this movie

That Hermes ties is hot too , definitely i will go for Hermes ties when i have need for ties in the future

After that i would prolly save up and get this shiny Louis Vuitton Opera Richelieu Patent Calf Leather to add for my collection. Yeah i already have a Patent Leather Shoe but i lack Black Leather Shoe with Lace so this will be an important addition to my staple wardrobe collection.

but before i spend my money most prolly i will check on Ermenegildo Zegna , just to check out how much their latest Crocodile Leather Shoe that was shown in latest Men's Folio Malaysia.. if it was in affordable range I might save a lil more for it instead. New Giorgio Armani suit

Just went to KLCC to pick up my Giorgio Armani (black label) suit , I am really impressed with the suit as it is actually shinier that what i thought it was( i am sucker for shiny clothes and accessories)... but i was wrong about the price before discount it retails at MYR9499 .

I cant really tell the construction of the suit , whether it is fused or canvassed , but according to what i read from SF from the user PaoloM http://www.styleforum.net/showthread.php?p=2846017 , he mentioned that all Giorgio Armani Black Labels are fully canvassed ,proud and happy to hear this because all great suits are normally fully canvased so if this suit is fused it would not justify the cost cutting and the price asked. Although i did ask the sales assistant in Giorgio Armani boutique wether the suit is fused or canvassed but it appears that he didt understand what it is. (kinda expected lol)

Anyway the fabric of the Suit is 85% Ramie and 15% Silk

the linings are made of 51% viscose and 49% acetate

its the first ever of the rack suit that i found in local designers boutique in Malaysia that is in the size 44 which perfectly fits my size , and it was the only size suit in size 44 brought in by Giorgio Armani , according to the sales assistant he was shocked that they actually has a size 44 in their inventory because they dont order anything less than size 46 , so i was really lucky and fortunate to have bought it . Even my first suit which is from Emporio Armani is size 46 but with with some alteration done on the sleeves and on the back but it still doesnt look very nice as the fit on the shoulder is still too big and nothing can be done about it. The suit is ventless as i ve been told before that is Armani's suit signature.

The color is also quite interesting , although it is actually shiny charcoal grey but under lower brightness lighting the suits appears to be in different color somewhat brownish but still shiny thought.

Oh by the way this is my first that i heard such fabric called Ramie .. i didt even know it existed , so i did some research (on Google where else) and found that it has good resistant against bacteria, mildew, alkalis, rotting, light, and insect attack. Which means this suit can be buried with! Its actually already proven by the Egyption because they used ramie textile for their mummy cloths.

They also mention that this fabric is quite pricey to produce so I am quite happy to know that since not all the money spend going to markups and brand name as alot of skeptics want to belief about Armanis. So they do actually produce good quality suits with high quality fabrics and construction.

My Fashion Mistake

Everyone surely have stuffs that they regretted buying.. i would like to share about the stuffs that i have regrets after purchasing them.

first on the list is my Prada shoe that I bought from Prada boutique in KLCC for MYR2540

first it is an model shoe that is prolly discontinued since its not in the website or in newer Prada boutique in Pavillion but i choose it over the newer model that just came out at that time which cost alot less which is around MYR1700 just because the older one is more clean and simple in design with the word Prada on the buckle whereas the newer logo is slightly bigger with Prada and Milano word within a triangle , not only that mind was outdated in logo it was also outdated in design, it was a squared toe shoe which should never be worn by any men as said by the experts in SF forums. But at that time i didt know better and i needed a designer leather shoe and that was my first one too. Also during that time i also visited Hermes and checked out their shoes (their leather shoes range from MYR3050 to MYR4050) but i was put off because they look so normal and not outstanding without any logo and worse is the one with a steel buckle looks like some imitation or add on with glue or something they look so cheap lol .. perhaps i would have been better off and more satisfied buying the Hermes shoe...

EDIT: interesting note about Prada is they actually owns Church (an SF approved brand from a British maker with long heritage) so is it possible that Church makes shoes for Prada?

On the very same day i made another mistake which i bought a black linen pants from Emporio Armani at MYR1400 , the pants was like 2 size bigger than my size it had to be altered on the lenght obviously because i am short(173cm) , and the waist . Unfortunately even after altering the pants it is still too big on the ass , so it makes my ass look bigger when i tuck in my shirt lol. Shame because i like the design and the material .. it has that shiny effect and incase you dont know i love shiny pants,suits,shoes(patent leather) and shirts . Anyway i still love the pants but i feel its not worth to have paid MYR1400 for it , i should have waited for discount.

by the way i have called Giorgio Armani to reserved the MYR9300 suit which i will pick up as soon i head to KL which is before end of the month . Be sure to check out my fit and post about the suit.

Lately it is very rare for me to purchase from Louis Vuitton anymore. Mainly because i am more passionate in designer clothing and none of Louis Vuitton boutiques in Malaysia carry their Ready To Wear collections. Such a shame because Louis Vuitton used to be my first choice of designer brand when i began indulging in designer materials. As for their other stuffs i am not really a bag person so I kinda skipped their bags (except a Luggage bag) and their shoes not many that appeals me except the ultra expensive crocodile leather monte carlo moccasins that cost like MYR9000+ which is not my standard yet!( i could have gotten a jeans,a shirt,a shoe and a belt with that amount!)

So Lately i have my interest on Louis Vuitton again , not only that they have new exciting stuffs but i am also motivated to get them after seeing a popular Korean artist Lee Jun Ki (The King and The Clown) in Louis Vuitton stuffs. (Yea i am too easily influenced by celebrities)

So Gucci F/W 2010 is here , and what do you know they come with pair of nice Gucci jackets with embroidered Gucci crest which cost US$1390 and us$1690 respectively

anyway if they ever bring them into Malaysia the price would be over MYR5xxx thanks to ridiculous boutiques markup and taxes. Which i hope they do!! if they do bring it i definitely would get it if they have my size (44) lol . Actually i did went to Gucci a couple of weeks back to find it but to my disappointment they didt have it yet(maybe) but they did brought in some new collections from F/W 2010 and amongst them was a shimmering velvet jacket that cost frigging MYR20,000!

i guess it must have been very popular since i saw 3 different Asian celebrities worn it , one is the guy from AXN Sony Style he worn it when he was being interviewed in the Duke, another is some famous local photographer in Malaysia Men's Folio and the last which is the only i can find the picture is Lee Min Ho from Boy Over Flower during the drama pres conference. kinda regretted that i missed the jacket!

lol last time i had bought a pants from Gucci at MYR2300 but only to know later that it was a part of a suit

So i went to KL again last Friday to grab the Emporio Armani stuffs that i choose before the sale.. (sales only started on 2nd july but i went there a week earlier and picked up the stuffs i want first) didt know that they closed the parking on the afternoon so had no place to go so went to Victoria Station for lunch ... good steak at bargain price total spent just slightly over MYR200

anyway my purchases as of late are more towards casual stuffs that can be used daily , unlike my normal purchases on stuffs that only can be worn during certain occasions that i only wore like once or twice after purchasing them .. anyway i picked up EA brief and trunk both are MYR169 each (purchased with discount) , EA Messenger bag and a EA7 water resistance jacket

it has double zippers for lower part of the jacket (perhaps to show off your belly or belt )

although i am not a bag person but this EA Messenger bag has totally changed me to a bag person , i have been carrying it around wherever i go lol , unlike my previous purchase on a Gucci cap for MYR820 (i am not a cap or hat person and having a large head doesnt help it either) which coudlt convince me to become cap person after worn it a few times its just sitting in my wardrobe collecting dust now..

I really love the design and color ... it is so fashionable and chic, and best of all made in Italy.The bag material is polyster and leather , the leather smell is very strong and i love that because i am sucker for leather smell . Also this bag feels so special as it is unique unlike other common messenger bags from other brands (the authenticity of the bags worn by those people are also in questioned lol) and best of all the price is at bargain too after 37% discount from MYR2399

coudlt find the same bag on www.emporioarmani.com though.. closest i can find is this laptop bag...

my bag has exact same design as this... this bag was on sale too at Emporio Armani.. orange color cool too but no GA eagle monogram print.. instead it has embossed Emporio Armani logo and wording ... less tacky and more classy , even the strap has no EA word unlike mine...

after i was done in Emporio Armani i drop by in Giorgio Armani and picked up a white shirt , it had great discount too from MYR1599

no idea what collar is this .. looks weird at first but it grew on me so i bought it lol

Hi guys, to those who care sorry for the late update , been busy doing nothing and other unproductive stuffs.. anyway on the last friday and saturday i happen to be in KL to send my friend's sister , and most of the fashion house are having sales of course i woudlt want to miss my chance :D therefore i went to KLCC and Pavillion ! to get the stuffs that i ve longing for so long... an italian sports coat/casual jacket , well the one i really like from Giorgio Armani with logo is sold out (well not like it comes with my size anyway) ... so i went to check out to Giorgio Armani.. there was only 1 jacket that interest me and it was shimmery (shimerry is always good because it looks expensive) , but it cost around RM9k ... well the catch is not the price its the friggin size... the smallest size was 46 and i can only fit on 42 or 44 (maybe) , disappointed with Giorgio Armani I went to Prada Pavilion and there was a very nice fashion jacket cost RM8k and again at size 46... what a shame thought the fashion jacket was a runaway item for Prada Spring Summer

thing is about jacket/suit , the quality of material and tailoring are important but most importantly is the fitting , that makes all the differences , having a too big of jacket or suit would make you look damn awkward.. and no way i would want to get a bigger size and alter since the suits/jackets are tailored in italy by respective tailor from Prada and Giorgio Armani...

disappointed with Malaysian boutiques i gave up on getting a casual jacket here in Malaysia, most likely i would have to get one oversea (Singapore maybe) anyway to cure my disappointment also since i already withdrew a quite amount of cash i woudlt want to hold them so i just went to blow all of them on tod's limited edition country club gominnos (yes this is essential as i left all my designers shoes in JB , so i dont have any designer shoes with me here), Gucci t-shirt (yes finally the infamous super tacky Gucci T-shirt finally got my hand on it), and also Burberry Jacket and Burberry checked Polo T-shirt for my friend

Oh yea while i was in Gucci i failed to find the loafer that i saw a month ago , too bad it was a really nice shoe cost around 2.2k but it wasnt there anymore .. and that wasnt the most disheartening momment... the most disheartening moment in Gucci was to see the Cobalt Print shirt i bought a months ago with 50% sales only at MYR700+ , which i bought at MYR1590

stay tune..my shopping spree doesnt end here ! i still have some stuffs to buy in Emporio Armani and Louis Vuitton in KLCC tommorow ... will update tommorow night with pictures of my purchases and update on new stuffs

bleh it was a shame tho while i was in LV Starhill they didt have the Monte Carlo Loafer in Patent Leather , they only had this pimping Monte Carlo Mocassins in Crocodile Leather cost at frigging MYR9k.... only on Saturday after i had bought the Tod's loafer the day before i saw Monte Carlo Loafer in LV Starhill for MYR2700 arghhh too bad i am on limited budget cant buy another shoe for the same purpose.. hopefully it will be around next time when i grew tired of my Tod's moccasins

Malaysia Megasale is here , with all big names such as Burberry, Tods and Gucci are having sales too and soon more other brands will join in .

Gucci sales started on 31st May i received call from Gucci Pavilion to inform me of the sales few days before! too bad I wasnt around KL and wont be until sometimes ... therefore i had missed the chance to be one of the early bird to get good bargain from Gucci :(

things about sale that you should know that, sales normally only applies to "out of season stuffs" thus new collections will not have sales even during sales period.. normally the longer the store unable to clear the stock , the sales will gradually increase like 30% to 50% to 70% (can go higher near end of sale)

this applies to most brand where sales are only for seasonal items and no sales for classic items

for some brand such as Hermes and Louis Vuitton they never have sales (but Hermes do have sales on their ready to wear if i am not mistaken)

as for Burberry they have no sales on men's accessories

as for Prada i am not really sure as i dont shop there often..

from what i notice in Gucci the stuffs with blatant ,obvious logo normally the one the finishes first during 30% sale or sometimes even before sales, so if you saw something you like which is discreet in logo chances are that the clothes wont be sold out until higher discount...

meanwhile in Emporio Armani and Giorgio Armani i normally just wait till 30%-50% sale before i buys because the good stuffs are still there even during sales (this brand is indeed underrated in Malaysia)

anyway too bad i didn't get to buy anything for this megasale as i am not around KL .. i guess ill have to wait until end of the year sales.. oh well

Since i havent grab anything yet for this year's sale, for your viewing pleasure i will post about something i had bought earlier this year

these are ready to wear that i purchased from Gucci this year (cant recall when there are more but i will post that in my later or future post) and they kinda look like these but if u notice they are slightly from mine where mine is with collar and the one the model is wearing is v-neck.

This Gucci pants was featured in Folio Men (forgot which issue) which my brother in law said looks like his University's chef's pants LOL. ill try to get the closeup picture from website and folio men pictures if i able to find them in my condo. From the website this pants is part of a suit just like the model is wearing too bad Pavilion Gucci didt have them (not like i have the money to buy the freaking coat (Gucci coats starts at around MYR6k+)

for first post i would like to share what i had purchase last week

it was a Cobalt print short sleeve shirt in satin from Gucci ,i ve been drooling for this since i saw it in Men's Folio and Baazar Men .. finally i ve got my hand on it

there were 3 type

one in yellow short sleeve, another one in blue short sleeve and last one is in blue long sleeve

I dont know what i did wrong but somehow i cant look as good as the model.

by the way it seems like this season Gucci also has nice white jeans cost MYR1900 but too bad i just bought a white jeans from Emporio Armani so no way i would get the Gucci one , pretty much the same except Emporio Armani one has extra GA eagle logo on the back pocket.

Anyway while i was there the frigging polo t-shirt that ive been dying to get is still sold out again! , it could be due to the excessive G that boasting the sale of this shirt lol , omg that shit is so tacky and show off but i love it! if i am not mistaken the price should be around MYR1050

hmmp somehow different season they still cater this shirt with slight tweak...

oh yea saw this ugly ass jacket when i was there too
cost around 3k-4k if i am not mistaken wonder if anyone ever buys it... if anyone does.. i guess money cant buy taste..

but i am still mourning for the sport coat in Giorgio Armani with a Giorgio Armani logo on the chest.. cost MYR6999 .. was hoping to get it on sale but too bad my size already finished!! my life sucks!
